1)
How long have you been a member of the SBSC?
2) What do you enjoy most about SBSC?
3) What are your hobbies and interest?
4) What is your favorite shag song?
5) Where is your favorite place to dance?
6) Who is your favorite DJ?
7) What is your vision for the SBSC?
1) How long
have you been a member of the SBSC?
I'm not really sure anymore, but it was at least 5 years ago
when I first joined (possibly
more)
2) What do you enjoy most about SBSC? The GOOD TIMES!!! Over the
years, I have found
that anytime a group of people get together and enjoy beach
music and dancing- they WILL
have a good time! There is just something about the
music itself that insures a good time
and anytime you get up and start moving to it-it is fun, and
therefore, more good times!
There are really no social barriers, as everyone is there for
the same purpose-to enjoy the
music, dance, and enjoy themselves!
SBSC is testimony to this. Just a great group of people
who enjoy having a good time-and GET IT DONE!!
3) What are your hobbies and interest? lol
My hobby has become to simply get from sun-up to
sundown with no major catastrophes! Interests are many
and varied. Love ASU Football
and UNC Basketball!
4) What is your favorite shag song? My favorite will always be the
Drifters' "Sand In My
Shoes". It is probably the first popular Beach
Song I was aware of.
5) Where is your favorite place to dance? I have danced many places through the
years, but have
to admit the Elks Lodge has become my favorite place for now!
The American Legion Hut
in Valdese has always been a favorite as well,
and still is but the chances aren't as frequent
to dance there as they were in "years past"!
6) Who is your favorite DJ? Is there any other than Steve Coley?!!
7) What is your vision for the SBSC? I have seen SBSC grow and improve so much
since being
a member that my vision at this point would simply be for it
to stay as good a club as it has
become! That will be a difficult task to accomplish
because it will take so much from so
many to make it happen! We have all seen other
"good" clubs in the area simply shrivel up
and become nothing or inactive, and we can't let that happen
to SBSC (as it did once
before!) We all have to get in there and prevent it from
happening! When I'm "too old" to
be able to shag anymore (because of the need for a walker or
wheelchair!), I would love to
see the SBSC still going-full steam ahead!
